The role provides hands-on Integration 3.0 (INT3.0) expertise from day one, translating integration requirements into reliable, supportable, and scalable data flows across o9 and upstream or downstream enterprise systems.

This position acts as the technical integration authority within the IBP CoE. It combines architecture, delivery, operations, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder leadership. This person will work closely with functional leads, the Solution Architect, data teams, infrastructure and security teams, implementation partners, and business stakeholders to ensure that integrations are production-ready and sustainably transitioned into support.

Role Purpose and Outcomes

  • Own the o9 INT3.0 integration workstream and provide practical, recent implementation expertise with minimal dependency on project-team knowledge transfer.
  • Establish stable, traceable, and supportable inbound and outbound interfaces for IBP planning processes.
  • Improve operational resilience through runbooks, batch monitoring, error-log knowledge, root-cause analysis, and repeatable recovery procedures.
  • Enable faster and safer releases by applying technical design standards, quality controls, and disciplined deployment practices.
  • Support targeted Python-based plug-ins, procedures, and automation under the guidance of functional and solution leads.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

o9 Integration 3.0 Technical Ownership

  • Act as the primary technical owner for o9 Integration 3.0 across design, build, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Design and maintain integration patterns for master, transactional, planning, and analytical data exchanged between o9 and enterprise systems.
  • Assess integration requirements, define technical options, document decisions, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams, vendors, and implementation partners, and review integration deliverables for quality and maintainability.

Integration Engineering and Data Flows

  • Develop, configure, enhance, and troubleshoot data ingestion and extraction pipelines, transformations, orchestration, schedules, and dependencies.
  • Work with ERP, data-platform, middleware, cloud, and data-provider teams to define interface contracts, mappings, validation rules, cadence, and ownership.
  • Ensure integrations correctly handle full and delta loads, sequencing, reconciliation, restorability, exceptions, and downstream dependencies.
  • Perform technical analysis of complex data issues and distinguish source-data, transformation, configuration, platform, and infrastructure causes.

Batch Operations, Monitoring and Support

  • Own batch-flow visibility, operational monitoring, issue triage, and technical coordination for failed or delayed integrations.
  • Create and maintain batch runbooks, support procedures, error-log libraries, escalation paths, and recovery instructions that are specific to the implemented landscape.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and convert findings into preventive controls, automation, or design improvements.
  • Support production releases, continuous improvement through Change Requests, and transition to steady-state operations, including knowledge transfer to data and support teams.

Technical Development and Automation

  • Use Python where appropriate to develop plug-ins, procedures, utilities, validations, and automation that complement o9 configuration and integration capabilities.
  • Apply sound software-engineering practices including version control, modular design, code review, logging, exception handling, testing, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with functional experts to translate planning requirements into safe and maintainable technical extensions without compromising platform standards.

Quality, Security and Release Governance

  • Define and apply technical quality gates for integration design, code, configuration, testing evidence, deployment readiness, and documentation completeness.
  • Prepare unit, system-integration, regression, performance, and reconciliation test scenarios in collaboration with QA and functional teams.
  • Ensure secure handling of credentials, access, data transfers, service accounts, certificates, and environment-specific configuration in line with approved policies.
  • Identify technical debt, performance risks, and single points of failure, and maintain a prioritized improvement roadmap.

Agile Delivery and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Author and refine technical user stories, tasks, acceptance criteria, estimates, dependencies, and implementation plans.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and defect-triage forums.
  • Communicate technical risks, decisions, and recovery options clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor less-experienced technical resources and strengthen internal integration capability through structured knowledge sharing.
