Position Overview
Supply Planning Functional Expert responsible for designing, governing, and driving enhancements and optimization of the o9 Supply Planning solution post-implementation. Acts as the functional design authority ensuring scalable, standardized, and value-driven Supply planning capabilities across regions.
You will be the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams — translating complex requirements into scalable solutions while championing agile delivery practices.
This is a high-impact role where you will managing the product backlog, lead sprint ceremonies, lead major and minor releases, and ensure every delivery meets the highest standards of quality and documentation
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
09 Platform Functional Expert
- Functional Design Authority: Acts as the functional design authority for all Supply planning enhancements in o9 by leading design reviews, validating functional specifications, and ensuring solutions adhere to global standards, best practices, and scalable design principles across regions and use cases.
- Supply Planning Process Expertise: Serves as the subject matter expert for Supply planning processes including forecasting, Supply review, and S&OP/IBP integration, driving process standardization, maturity, and alignment across Supply, supply, and inventory planning functions.
- Enhancement & Change Management: Leads the intake, evaluation, prioritization, and functional definition of enhancement and change requests, translating business needs into high-quality solution designs and collaborating with delivery teams to ensure value-driven implementation.
- Value Governance and Optimisation: Monitors Supply planning solution performance and adoption, reviews existing designs for improvement opportunities, and drives continuous optimization to improve KPIs forecast accuracy, planner productivity, and overall business value.
Agile Delivery & Scrum
- Lead sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives — playing the role of Scrum Master if required.
- Author and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring sprint-readiness.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with IBP Platform owner (CoE), Business Product owner and stakeholders.
Documentation & Presentation
- Produce high-quality documentation: FSDs, process flow diagrams, decision trees, data flow maps, and persona maps.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations to senior stakeholders, C-suite, and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain up-to-date solution documentation aligned with delivered configuration and customization.

Essential Certifications
- o9 Solutions certifications related to Supply Planning, Supply Chain Solver, Platform Configuration & Performance Improvement (Analytics)
- Other relevant o9 Solutions certifications and proof of completion of o9 Solutions courses
Highly Valued Certifications & Qualifications
- Supply chain certifications such as ASCM’s CPIM, CSCP or CLTD
- Agile and Project Management certifications
- Certifications related to Demand Planing pertaining to other Supply Chain Planning tools (Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, etc.)
Experience
Core Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of Supply Planning primarily, with experience in S&OP, inventory optimisation, Procurement and Distribution planning. Strong understanding of statistical forecasting models and planning algorithms. Experience with global template design and CoE operating models
- Strong techno-functional understanding of IBP planning process — capable of bridging between business and technical teams.
- Proficiency in Supply planning in o9. Advanced Excel/SQL skills is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with 09 IBP platform and Business Analytics.
- Demonstrated experience running sprints and managing agile delivery using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent analytical and logical thinking — comfortable with complex data models and business rules.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — ability to present to all levels of an organization.
- Strong demonstration of the writing requirements in the form of Agile user stories
- Experience with Quality Assurance processes and driving Quality Assurance standards
