About the Role

As a Maintenance Trainee, you will work closely with our experienced maintenance team to learn and apply essential mechanical maintenance practices. This position offers hands-on training and exposure to various machinery, systems, and technical processes critical to manufacturing operations. You will gain practical experience while contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in routine and preventive maintenance tasks across mechanical systems and equipment.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues under the guidance of skilled maintenance professionals.
• Support repairs by preparing tools, parts, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Document maintenance activities and update maintenance logs accurately.
• Participate in training sessions to develop technical knowledge and skills related to mechanical maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Occasional travel to other company sites or training centers may be required, typically less than 25% of the time.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Strong interest in mechanical systems and willingness to learn and grow within the maintenance field.
• Technical knowledge or technical skills acquired through education, certification, or prior experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards at all times.
• Reliable and disciplined approach to completing assigned tasks.

Indorama Ventures Mobility Scottsboro (IVMS) will arrange work hours to enable MAT to attend training sessions outside the plant as deemed necessary by IVMS.
MAT is required to participate in training sessions designated by IVMS, both at the IVMS facility and offsite.  IVMS will reimburse tuition, books, and fees related to these mandatory courses if MAT achieves a grade of C or higher.  MAT will not receive payment for the time spent attending these classes.

Location and Travel

This position is based at our IVM Scottsboro facility. Travel requirements are minimal, if any.
